This series is an ongoing labor of love. I grew up in Atlanta, and my husband grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. We made many trips between our two families' homes, mostly traveling along a rural route, Route 300, also known as the GA-FLA Parkway. My father in law had lived in the south his entire life, and worked for a local concrete company his entire adult life. He and I collaborated on this project, looking into the economies that exist along this route. Farming and construction are a large part of the industry along this route. My father in law, Tripp unexpectedly passed away during this project and I am still continuing to shoot in this area and do him proud.
